- Ablative lasers remove the top layer of skin causing patient to need 2 weeks or more of recovery time. Dramatic results are seen after one treatment.

Stretch Marks:
https://www.highvalleydermatology.com/wp-content/uploads/stretch-mark-email-results.jpgHow Does it Work?
Stretch marks form because skin has been overstretched, but the reason they stay is due to a breakdown in collagen. What stretch marks need is new tissue. In this procedure, fractional laser light pulses through the skin to break down stretch marks. It also triggers new tissue production. The new collagen leaves the stretch mark smoother in texture and reduces its appearance on the skin.
- Numbing medication is applied 1 hour prior to treatment to help reduce discomfort during procedure.
- 3-6+ treatments 1 month apart are recommended for optimal results
- No sun exposure is recommended 2 weeks prior to and 4 weeks following the procedure.
